The history of the manufacture of files and rasps has more than 80 year old tradition in the city of Jihlava. The file manufacturing company was established in 1921 and since the time the significance of both the company and the manufacture for the Jihlava region and its surroundings has been on the increase till the present days.

The company bears AJAX logotype also in its name since 1940’s. In 1996 the joint-stock company of Ajax & Blundell, a.s., was established, and it contributed to a further expansion of business partners in many countries worldwide.

Business contacts were successfully made, as the years passed by, also in Australia, Southern America and nearly all over Europe. We has become the supplier of significance also in the East European territory and in certain countries of Asia.

At present the company of Ajax & Blundell, a.s., offers more than thousand items of the assorted files and rasps.

Our specializing in meeting the demands of our customers compels us to unceasingly improve our products and to expand our assortment. We pay a special attention not only to quality but to the overall appearance as well with a respect to the ergonomic requirements. It is not only the technology but the quality control system as well that have a significant influence on the AJAX files and rasps quality. The entire assortment is certified by the Engineering Testing Institute and, since November 2001, the company switched over to the Quality Control System of ISO 9001:2000. This system means reliability and proven quality.

In 2004 the company started off by a precise machining the parts on CNC machines in accordance with the requirements of the customers. The outfit covers CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. The implied part of this manufacture is also a 3D measurement system which provides for the topmost monitoring of the machined parts.
